Janet Laurence
Janet Laurence is chiefly known for her crime novels. She has been cookery correspondent for the Daily Telegraph and her first crime series featured a cordon bleu cook, Darina Lisle. She is currently writing the third in a historical mystery series set in Edwardian times. Other books include Writing Crime Fiction, and contemporary women’s fiction under a pseudonym. She is an ex-Chairman of the Crime Writers’ Association, and is currently Chairman of the CWA International Dagger judging panel. She lives in Somerset, runs crime writing courses and produces editorial assessments for aspiring novelists.
